Fourteen Plants targeted on our weekly Rescue and Restore Event are covered for ID, Habitat, Impacts, Lookalikes and Management.
Plants are: Himalayan Blackberry, Japanese Knotweed, Black Walnut, Reed Canary Grass, Field Bindweed, Purple Loosestrife, Periwinkle, Yellow Archangel, Yellow Flag-iris, Tansy Ragwort, Annual Sow-thistle, Curly Dock, English Holly and English Ivy.
Many other Plants are considered invasive and can be found in the Miami River Watershed. Ones not on this handout but considered either invasive or additional plants of concern in the "field guide of noxious weeds of BC" and can be found on various Invasive Species Society web pages. Ones not covered in the following handout but of concern in the Miami system include: Evening Primrose, St John's Wort, Himalayan Balsam; Celandines sp., Hawkweeds, Canada thistle and Jewel weed.
